Impulse

The University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences newslet­ter has pub­lished sev­eral of my pic­tures on the mak­ing of the movie At the Back of the North Wind. The arti­cle describes this cool film project — a sum­mer class with only one assign­ment: to make a fea­ture film. UW’s DXARTS depart­ment, which spon­sored the film, is a pro­gram com­bin­ing engi­neer­ing with art­mak­ing. Too bad it didn’t exist when I was in school…
I’ve gotta say: I still get a kick out of see­ing the phrase, “All pho­tos by Rob McKaughan”.
